April 29, 2026 – Auburn, Ala. — The Auburn Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Kaitie Mitchell as its new Event and Communications Specialist, further strengthening the Chamber’s commitment to supporting local businesses and fostering meaningful community connections.

Mitchell is a recent graduate of Auburn University’s Harbert College of Business, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in marketing and a

minor in sports communications. Her academic background, paired with hands-on experience in event coordination, content creation, and community engagement, positions her well to support the Chamber’s growing programming and communications efforts.

Most recently, Mitchell served as City Market Coordinator for the City of Auburn, where she managed vendor relations, coordinated logistics for large-scale community events, and developed strategic marketing content that significantly increased social media engagement. She also brings experience in event operations at Auburn University, supporting a wide range of campus events and ensuring seamless execution for attendees.

In her new role, Mitchell will assist in planning and executing Chamber events, developing communications initiatives, and enhancing member engagement through creative storytelling and strategic outreach.

“I am excited to serve the Auburn Chamber of Commerce and the Auburn community as the new Event and Communications Specialist,” said Mitchell. “Auburn holds a special place in my heart. I look forward to supporting local businesses and creating meaningful opportunities for connection and engagement.”

Mitchell’s skill set includes digital content creation, photography, and marketing strategy, along with certifications in content marketing, social media marketing, and ethical leadership. She is also actively involved in professional and leadership organizations, reflecting her commitment to continued growth and community involvement.
